MV Tramontana

Description

Tramontana is the sister vessel to Zephyr, and is able to take up to 12 passengers at a time. She is semi-covered with an open rear deck, a comfortable saloon midships and separate cockpit area in the bows.

Fully equipped with heating, galley and toilet facilities Tramontana is suited to all occasions and she can operate anywhere on the tidal or non-tidal Thames.

Built at Eel Pie Island by W E R Sims, he used the 58 foot boat to follow the Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race as a camera boat for BBC Television. Her original BMW diesel engines were subsequently replaced with powerful Yanmar stern-drive engines. Launched as Katrina, she now carries the name of the Spanish wind and can still be seen in the impressive line-up of launches which follow this annual race over the Championship Course from Putney to Mortlake.

This vessel is ideal for high speed luxury transfers, three-course meals, buffets and champagne receptions all whilst travelling through central London at a comfortable and safe speed, taking in the sights and sounds of one of this world’s most famous cities from a different perspective.
